Shuttle Valve (Brass)

Shuttle valves are used to charge and discharge a pressure line or chamber from two or more sources. The brass Shuttle Valve is a device with two inlet ports and one outlet port. It uses a free-moving shuttle that blocks one of the inlet ports while allowing the unblocked inlet port to flow to the outlet port.

Key Features

The brass Shuttle Valve is a device with two inlet ports and one outlet port. It uses a shuttle that moves freely and blocks one of the two inlet ports while allowing the other to flow to the outlet. When a pressure signal is applied to one of the inlet ports, the shuttle moves and blocks the opposite inlet port, allowing the flow to go through the outlet. The shuttle will remain in this position until the original signal is removed or a higher pressure signal is applied to the opposite inlet port. In logic terms, a shuttle valve is an “OR” function.
